Question/Problem:
Can I make the application send an email campaign automatically when a user signs up to a list?

Answer/Solution:
Follow-Ups are powerful Customer Retention Management (CRM) tools that allow you to send newsletters to customers at specified intervals from their original subscription date. Utilizing these tools can completely automate the process of an entire CRM campaign.
To set up a new campaign, you must first have a newsletter to send. Create a newsletter in Composer and save the newsletter rather than sending. Go to the CRM management tool and click "Add New Follow-Up," then enter the details of your follow-up including subject, interval and lists to send to. Once you have saved a follow-up, it will be sent automatically by the Arrow Agent.

You may choose to Send to All Current and Future Lists when setting up a follow-up campaign. This option allows you to send the scheduled follow-up to all existing and new members without having to edit the follow-up schedule whenever you add a new list. This feature is useful for organizations with rapidly changing or numerous lists. Choosing this option ensures that all contacts receive the particular follow-up, without regard for list changes.

When editing a saved follow-up, you may also want to Clear Send History. This feature allows you to erase any existing CRM Send history which is useful in special cases where you want to change the interval and resend a particualr follow-up. Please be advised that improper or inadvertant use of this feature may cause undesirable repeat messages to be sent.

Here is a sample suggested follow-up campaign:

Immedately after signup send a welcome newsletter thanking the customer for joining and illustrating the features you have to offer.
In 15 days remind the customer of an event, special or thank the customer again for joining.
In 30 days offer the customer a special rate, discount or link pointing to an "unadvertised" membership priveledge.
In 45 days send a link to a Web survey asking the customer for feedback on a specific product or a general service evaluation.
From time to time you can monitor the success of your CRM campaigns using the graphing and Sent columns. You can also lookup the tracking results of each individual sent item in the Track Results section. CRM items are noted as (CRM) next to the subject in the Track Results section.
